Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia is planned for early March, with participation from Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky made the announcement following a phone call with President Trump. He praised the efforts of their teams, stating:

“Our teams are working intensively, and I thanked them for their active involvement in negotiations and efforts to end the war.”

The Ukrainian president added that the discussion also covered issues that representatives from both countries are set to address in Geneva today, February 26, during a bilateral meeting.

“We discussed the issues our representatives will handle in Geneva during the two-way meeting, as well as preparations for the upcoming full negotiation team meeting in a trilateral format in early March. We expect this meeting to create an opportunity to elevate discussions to the leadership level,” Zelensky said.

He also noted that Trump supports this sequence of steps, emphasizing that this approach is seen as the best way to resolve complex and sensitive issues and ultimately bring an end to the war.
