Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin fears the United States. According to Zelensky, this became evident as heavy attacks on Ukraine ceased shortly after Keith Kellogg, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, arrived in Kyiv.

“The moment General Kellogg arrived in Ukraine, there have been no massive bombardments for two nights,” Zelensky stated. “This is a very interesting example. This and last night there were no heavy attacks. People are even joking about it, saying we should give General Kellogg a Ukrainian passport and leave him here. Americans should visit us more often… What does this mean? That Putin deliberately bombs civilians, but when Americans are here, he doesn’t do it.”

Zelensky further added that this indicates the Russian dictator is afraid of the United States.

New US Military Aid Package and Trump’s Ultimatum

Meanwhile, President Trump has approved the largest military aid package for Ukraine since taking office, valued at $10 billion. However, this amount for weaponry will be paid for by NATO allies.

Trump has also expressed dissatisfaction with Putin’s behavior and has issued a 50-day deadline for peace to be achieved in Ukraine, warning that failure to do so will result in a 100 percent customs tariff on all countries continuing to buy Russian exports.
