Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has spoken at a time when Ukrainian armed forces are advancing in the Russian region of Kursk.
“It is important to continue destroying the enemy—just as our soldiers know how, with determination, as this supports the defense of our country, and effectively, as it brings results. The more pressure we apply on Russia, the aggressor that brought war to Ukraine, the closer peace will be,” he said. The Ukrainian leader added that a just peace can be achieved with just force.
“I am grateful to all our fighters, every combat unit, for their courage and strength, to all those who instinctively serve Ukraine. This includes the front lines towards Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and Lyman, the Kharkiv region, and everywhere in defense against the offensive. The occupiers’ operations continue,” said the Ukrainian head of state.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian armed forces are reported to have captured more than 40 Russian soldiers, who surrendered after several hours of fighting on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared concerned during today’s meeting with Security Council officials following the new Ukrainian attacks.
