Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to visit Germany today, where supporters of Ukraine’s military are gathering a few days after one of the deadliest attacks of the war, as Russian forces make gains on the battlefield.

Zelensky and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will hold a meeting in Frankfurt, according to a German government spokesperson.

The spokesperson did not provide additional details regarding the meetings Zelensky will have in Germany.

However, the German media outlet Der Spiegel reported that Zelensky will attend a meeting of supporters of Kyiv—including the United States—at the American airbase in Ramstein.

The media outlet reported that Zelensky will call on Western countries for increased assistance to Kyiv during the Contact Group meeting at this base.

The meeting, located southwest of Frankfurt, will be led by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

This will be the 24th meeting of the Contact Group, an informal alliance of over 50 states supporting Ukraine, reports REL.
