Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the country is currently experiencing some of the most active diplomatic days of the year, and that “many things could be decided before the New Year.”
He also reported that in the past week, Russia has launched more than 2,100 drones, around 800 bombs, and 94 missiles.
“Our repair teams, energy workers, and first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working literally 24/7 to protect lives and restore electricity supply.
At the same time, it is equally important that sanctions against Russia are effective, all forms of political pressure on its aggression are implemented, Ukraine receives air-defense missiles, and we finalize the measures that will end this war and guarantee security,” added Zelensky.
Zelensky is scheduled to meet today with U.S. President Donald Trump, where he hopes to discuss steps toward ending the bloody conflict.
