Britain’s King Charles met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Windsor Castle on Friday, ahead of the Ukrainian leader’s final round of discussions in London with European leaders on how to increase pressure on Russia.
This marks the third meeting this year between the 76-year-old monarch and Zelensky. The Ukrainian president was received with royal honors, including the playing of Ukraine’s national anthem upon his arrival at Windsor Castle, west of London, reports The Guardian.
Following the royal audience, Zelensky is set to visit Downing Street for talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, before joining other European leaders to discuss ways to strengthen Ukraine’s defense amid the ongoing Russian aggression.
