Zelensky Proposes High-Level Peace Meeting; Turkey, Vatican, or Switzerland Considered as Venues

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that a high-level meeting involving Ukraine, Russia, the US, EU countries, and Britain is being considered as an important step toward ending the war, reports Rks News.

Following a phone call with US President Donald Trump, Zelensky emphasized the desire to hold the meeting as soon as possible, with potential venues including Turkey, the Vatican, or Switzerland, according to BBC.

His earlier call with Trump also led to talks with the leaders of France, Finland, Germany, Italy, and the European Union.

The Ukrainian president also revealed that a large prisoner exchange between the two countries could take place within days or weeks. He acknowledged that the situation remains challenging but stressed his continued focus on achieving peace.
