Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has strongly criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning him of the consequences of continuing aggression in Ukraine.
In a post on X, Zelensky compared Putin to the leaders of Iran, stating that the end for authoritarian regimes is always the same: internal ruin and international isolation.
“Russia is deliberately choosing war, despite international pressure. This shows they are not yet feeling the full cost of their actions. We and our partners will increase the pressure,” Zelensky wrote.
He emphasized that the Russian economy is already in decline and that this is “only the beginning.” Zelensky added that the Russian president can observe how similar regimes in countries like Iran ended up, sending a clear message that the path he has chosen leads only to failure.
