Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made some changes in military personnel at the General Staff of the Ukrainian army.
Bauzar in the decree number 457/2024 published on the website of the Ukrainian president’s office, Zelensky has appointed Oleksandr Trepak, commander of the Special Operations Forces in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while Oleksii Morozov is appointed head of the Department of Defense.
The decree enters into force at the moment of publication, and the Ukrainian Parliament dismissed Oleksandr Kubrakov from the post of Vice President of Ukraine and Minister of Communications, Territory and Infrastructure.
On May 9, Zelensky also fired Serhii Lupanchuk as Commander of the Special Operations Forces, replacing him with Oleksandr Trepak.
On the same day, the head of state also dismissed Serhii Rud from the Department of Defense, a position held by Rud from 2019.
