Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing intelligence from Ukraine’s military services, said that Russia plans to establish ground control stations for long-range attack drones in Belarus.
Zelensky, who has repeatedly warned in recent months about Belarus’ growing involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine, added that he instructed Ukrainian intelligence to inform Kiev’s partners about these plans.
During his daily video address, Zelensky recalled that Belarusian support had previously amplified damage from Russian attacks, prompting Ukrainian countermeasures.
“Now we have intelligence indicating that Russia intends to continue using Belarusian territory and temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory to build ground control stations for long-range drones,” he said.
“There will be a response to this. And it will be felt,” Zelensky added.
