Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that his country is “fully committed to constructive dialogue” with the U.S. ahead of high-level talks to be held next week in Saudi Arabia.

“Ukraine has sought peace since the first second of this war. Realistic proposals are on the table,” he wrote in a post on X.

Zelensky announced that he would visit Saudi Arabia for talks with the Crown Prince but would not stay for meetings with U.S. government representatives. The Ukrainian delegation will include Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

“Next week, I will begin with a visit to Saudi Arabia. After my meeting on Monday with the Crown Prince, Ukrainian diplomats and military representatives will stay for a meeting with the American team on Tuesday. The Ukrainian team will include Andriy Yermak, Andriy Sybiha, Rustem Umerov, and Pavlo Palisa,” Zelensky wrote.

The talks come at a time when the U.S. has suspended military aid and intelligence sharing.

The suspension of cooperation came after a tense meeting between Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington last week.

Trump further reinforced his criticism of Zelensky on Friday, saying it might be “easier” to reach an agreement with Moscow than with Kyiv on efforts to end the three-year war.
