Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that a security guarantees agreement is nearing completion, following overnight Russian airstrikes that targeted Kyiv and foreign diplomatic facilities.
In a follow-up post on Telegram, after a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Zelensky confirmed that extensive discussions were held regarding the security guarantees and the latest developments on the ground.
“National security advisors are currently working on every specific component, and next week the full configuration will be on paper,” he stated, according to BBC reports.
The Ukrainian president also noted that the overnight attacks struck a Turkish enterprise as well as the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv, significantly escalating diplomatic tensions and prompting international reactions.
