Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci announced that at the 24th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, he presented a new aid package for Ukraine.
“This meeting was special because the presentation of the package, which is the third from the Republic of Kosovo, was done in the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who for the first time attended this forum in Reimstein, Germany,” Maqedonci wrote.
“President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Republic of Kosovo and all other contributors who have continuously supported Ukraine,” he added.
“The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has already sent two large aid packages consisting of equipment, armored vehicles, and ammunition. Additionally, together with EUCOM, we are training hundreds of Ukrainians in Kosovo for demining operations, which are of great importance not only now but also for the future, and we are also continuing our support for the training of Ukrainian units alongside our British allies under Operation Interflex,” the minister wrote.
According to him, this month, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has decided to donate a fleet of vehicles to be delivered to Ukraine. This act of support is a sign of our active participation in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
“Kosovo’s aid to Ukraine, though smaller compared to some of your donations, demonstrates the willingness of the people of the Republic of Kosovo to help the Ukrainian people in these difficult times,” he wrote.
“Being victims of aggression ourselves, we know very well the high price of freedom. Therefore, our support for you will be unwavering until the ultimate victory of Ukraine and its people.”
