Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London on Thursday, just one day before the highly anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

According to reports, Zelensky and other European leaders, who will not attend the Trump-Putin meeting, held a joint virtual call with President Trump on Wednesday to reiterate their stance on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer stressed that Ukraine’s territorial integrity must be protected and that international borders should not be altered by force, BBC reported.

The diplomatic push comes after Trump suggested last week that there might be “some territorial exchange” to end the war, a statement that raised fears Kyiv could be pressured into ceding certain territories in exchange for peace.

Ukraine has firmly rejected any deal that recognizes Russian control over occupied territories, including Crimea, while Moscow insists on maintaining control over them.
