Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reaffirmed that Ukraine remains committed to peace and will work tirelessly with the United States to make both countries safer, stronger, and more prosperous.
“Ukraine remains committed to peace and will tirelessly work with the United States to make both our countries safer, stronger, and more prosperous,” Zelensky wrote in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter). His remarks came in response to the U.S. leader’s announcement shortening the previously set 50-day deadline for achieving a ceasefire between Moscow and Kyiv.
Zelensky also thanked the American president for his determination and clear stance, which he said came at the right moment.
