Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to working closely with its international partners to achieve peace as soon as possible.
In a post on social media platform X, Zelensky commented on a proposed 30-day ceasefire with Russia, emphasizing the need for real assurances from the Kremlin.
“The key factor is our partners’ ability to ensure that Russia is not deceiving but is truly ready to end the war. Because at this moment, Russian attacks have not stopped,” Zelensky stated, as reported by the BBC.
He further stressed the need to move towards lasting peace, security guarantees, and the liberation of Ukrainian citizens.
