Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the international community not to turn a blind eye to Russia’s escalating long-range attacks targeting Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure.

Zelensky revealed that over the past week, Russia launched more than 2,000 attack drones, 1,200 guided aerial bombs, and 116 missiles against Ukraine. He emphasized that Russian forces continue striking energy facilities, logistics infrastructure, and residential buildings almost daily, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace.

Energy Infrastructure Under Heavy Attack

Russia has maintained a sustained offensive against Ukraine’s power grid throughout the winter. The latest wave of strikes has resulted in significant electricity outages across multiple regions, further worsening humanitarian and economic challenges in the country.

Call for Stronger Military and Diplomatic Support

Zelensky stressed that the global community must respond decisively, warning that a lack of international reaction encourages Russia to intensify and expand its attacks. He highlighted Ukraine’s urgent need for air defense missiles and advanced weaponry to protect its territory and civilians.

He also underlined that continued international pressure on Russia is essential for diplomatic efforts to succeed, adding that the cost of the war must become unsustainable for the Russian Federation.
