Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed that Kyiv will retaliate following a fresh round of Russian attacks overnight.
He stated that rescue operations are ongoing, but at least four people have been killed and 16 others injured in the attacks, according to BBC.
Russia used “over 90 aerial targets against civilians and infrastructure,” including 81 drones, ballistic missiles, and other airborne weapons, Zelensky said.
“We will definitely respond to Russia for this and all other attacks. Crimes against humanity cannot go unpunished,” Zelensky added in a social media post.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden condemned Russia’s attacks on Ukraine yesterday, stating that Moscow “will never succeed” in its ongoing war.
He said Washington will continue to support Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and its attempts to plunge the Ukrainian people into darkness,” Biden said in a post on X.
“Russia will never succeed in Ukraine, and the spirit of the Ukrainian people will never be broken.”
