Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Russian attacks across his country continue to be a “daily reality,” despite the partial ceasefire agreed upon last week.

He mentioned an overnight drone strike in Kyiv, which killed at least three people, as well as another Russian attack in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, reportedly killing a family of three on Friday night, according to The Guardian.

In a post on the social media platform X, Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the victims and emphasized the ongoing threat:

“These attacks are a daily reality. Just this week, more than 1,580 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1,100 attack drones, and 15 missiles of various types have been used against our people.”

“All these weapons contain at least 102,000 foreign components. Therefore, sanctions against Russian terrorists must be more effective. Every loophole allowing them to bypass sanction regimes must be closed.”

“New decisions must be made, and new pressure must be exerted on Moscow to stop these attacks and this war. We must strengthen Ukraine and our military—with more air defense systems and real support. I thank all partners who understand this and continue to stand with Ukraine.”
