Klina, June 2 – Zenun Elezaj, the current mayor of Klina, has been officially confirmed as the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo’s (AAK) candidate for a new four-year term, Rks News reports.

The announcement was made by AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj, who stated that the party’s General Council in Klina unanimously proposed Elezaj to continue leading the municipality.

Haradinaj praised Elezaj and his team for driving Klina’s development forward, highlighting their efforts in infrastructure, services, and local governance. He also referenced the example of Suhareka under Bali Muharremaj’s leadership as a model of effective municipal transformation.

“AAK-led municipalities are a model of good, honest, and responsible governance,” Haradinaj said, emphasizing that this standard would continue wherever the party governs.

Elezaj’s candidacy coincides with the 25th anniversary of AAK’s founding in Klina and reflects the party’s intention to build on what it calls “concrete results and a clear vision” for the municipality’s future.
