An act of vandalism has been reported on “King Peter” Street in the municipality of Zvecan, specifically at the dividing line with North Mitrovica, where a municipal welcome sign was damaged using blunt objects and spray paint.
Sources from Sinjali report that the sign, which displayed “Welcome” on one side and “Safe Travels” on the other, was punctured in the emblem area and sprayed with black paint, causing visible damage to municipal property.
The investigative unit and the on-duty State Prosecutor have been notified of the case. The prosecutor has ordered the initiation of legal proceedings for the criminal offense of “Destruction or Damage to Property.” The Director of Public Services in the Municipality of Zvečan has been interviewed as a witness.
Investigations are ongoing to identify the individual or individuals responsible for damaging public property.
