Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, announced through a Facebook post that over €200 million will be invested in the rehabilitation of the Hani i Elezit – Leshak railway line. He emphasized that the modernization of this railway will transform the transportation of goods and people across the region.
“In total, over €200 million are allocated for the rehabilitation of the Hani i Elezit – Leshak Railway line. Alongside this project, we also have the Pristina-Durrës railway, one of the most important infrastructural and national projects in post-independence history,” Kurti said in his post.
He highlighted that modernizing the railway will strengthen and accelerate city connections, improve the speed and efficiency of transport, and contribute to environmental protection by reducing pollution. “Closer, faster, and cleaner,” he added.
