Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow today of carrying out two airstrikes that killed at least 11 people in Ukraine, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want “real peace.”
The series of attacks comes after weeks of escalating tensions amid nearly three years of war, with Russia intensifying its assaults on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“Thousands of attacks carried out by Russia throughout this war clearly show that Putin doesn’t need real peace,” Zelensky wrote in a Telegram post.
Nine people were killed in the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, and two more in the city of Kryvyi Rih.
“We can only resist him with force. And only through force can true peace be established,” Zelensky added.
