Parents and legal guardians in Kosovo have one more day to apply for government subsidies for school textbooks and educational materials, the Ministry of Education has announced.
The application deadline, which was originally set for August 9, has been extended until Friday following strong demand and requests from parents who were unable to submit their applications on time.
According to Anita Kadriu, director of the Department of Pre-University Education at the Ministry of Education, a total of 179,000 parents had submitted applications through the eKosova platform as of Thursday.
“As of today, a total of 179,000 parents have applied for subsidies for textbooks and school materials through the eKosova platform, while the final deadline for applications is tomorrow,” Kadriu said, according to RTK.
She said the extension was intended to give parents who had not yet applied an additional opportunity to complete the process.
“The Ministry of Education extended the deadline, which was initially scheduled to close on August 9, until tomorrow, in order to give all parents the opportunity to apply,” Kadriu said.
Parents and legal guardians who have not yet submitted their applications are therefore being urged to complete the process before the extended deadline expires.
