Kosovo Police today raided the home of Fehim Sali, who is suspected of espionage, in Dragash.
According to the Kosovo Police, the following material evidence was found and seized during the raid:
- €39,500 in cash
- 500 Serbian dinars
- Four mobile phones
- Various documents relevant to the case
Sali was arrested today at the Merdare border crossing on suspicion of committing the criminal offence of espionage. By order of the Special Prosecution, he has been detained for 48 hours.
“The Prosecution, within the legally prescribed deadline, will submit a request to the Basic Court in Pristina for the imposition of detention on remand,” the Kosovo Police said.
The Special Prosecution, Kosovo Police and other security institutions said they remain committed to taking all necessary legal measures in connection with the case.
Sali had previously worked as a teacher at a school operating under Serbia’s parallel system in a village in Dragash.
