Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama will visit Pristina tomorrow to mark the 25th anniversary of Kosovo’s liberation.
Blair, who played a leading role during NATO’s 1999 bombing campaign that halted the advances of Serbian occupying forces and helped Kosovo gain independence, will address Kosovo’s MPs with a speech at 10:00 AM.
The great friend of the Albanians will be received by Pristina’s mayor Përparim Rama at 12:30 PM. During this meeting at the old municipal building of Pristina, the former British Prime Minister will be honored with the Key to the City and the title of Honorary Citizen of the Capital.
The Key to the City will also be awarded to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama during his meeting with the mayor of Pristina at 4:00 PM.
Edi Rama is invited to participate in the first panel of the international conference “Rugova and the West,” organized by the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Ibrahim Rugova Foundation, starting at 11:00 AM.
