Today marks the anniversary of the killing of 280 martyrs from Verboc and surrounding villages, as well as 42 fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom.
On this commemorative day, tribute was also paid to Ilaz Kodra, who made a significant contribution to the resistance for liberation.
At the memorial complex in Verboc, 73 martyrs are buried, while the remaining victims were laid to rest in nearby villages. Their memory continues to be preserved with respect and honor.
