A delegation from Kosovo, led by the Director of the Department for Europe, EU, and the Region, Mentor Tahiri, conducted an official visit to Dublin, where they were received by representatives of the Irish side, headed by the Director for Enlargement and the Southeast Europe Unit, Frank Smyth.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MPJD), the meeting marked a significant step in advancing political dialogue and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the consultations, the parties discussed:
- Overall developments in Kosovo and Ireland
- Bilateral relations and their advancement
- Kosovo’s European integration process
- Developments in the Western Balkans
- Global security challenges
The importance of multilateral cooperation within international organizations and forums was also emphasized.
The meeting, held ahead of Ireland’s EU Presidency, reaffirmed the joint commitment to strengthening Kosovo-Ireland partnership and maintaining regular political dialogue to promote stability, security, and progress on the European agenda.
