In a press conference in Berlin, the spokesperson for Germany’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Martin Giese, emphasized that Kosovo needs functional institutions in order to advance its political processes and European integration.
He stated that the proper functioning of institutions is also crucial for the continuation of the EU-facilitated dialogue on normalization between Kosovo and Serbia. According to him, the European integration of both countries can only be achieved through this dialogue, reports DW.
The reaction of the German government comes after the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, dissolved the Assembly of Kosovo. The institutional situation in the country is expected to be clarified through decisions by the Constitutional Court of Kosovo.
