The Kosovo Security Force (Kosovo Security Force) has expanded its demining capabilities with the addition of 17 newly trained deminers following the completion of a basic battlefield clearance and demining course.
Six-week training program
The certification ceremony was held at the “Lidhja e Prizrenit” barracks in Prizren, where the new recruits officially joined the FSK demining unit.
The training program lasted six weeks and focused on essential skills, including the use of specialized equipment and basic procedures for explosive ordnance disposal and battlefield clearance operations.
Strengthening demining capacities
According to official statements, the new deminers will become part of the FSK Demining Company, contributing to ongoing efforts to remove unexploded ordnance and ensure public safety in affected areas of Kosovo.
Military officials present at the ceremony congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of their mission, describing demining work as a vital and humanitarian contribution.
Institutional support
Representatives from the Ministry of Defence and FSK leadership attended the event, extending congratulations to the newly certified personnel and encouraging continued dedication in their operational duties.
