Iran’s acting defense minister has said the country is prepared for “any scenario” and warned that any aggression against it would result in a “harsh and decisive response,” according to statements broadcast on state television, as reported by CNN.

General Majid Ibn Reza stated that Iran’s armed forces are on “maximum combat readiness,” according to Press TV.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump said the U.S. Navy would begin blocking Iranian ports and would “stop” any vessel that has paid fees to Tehran, following the collapse of peace talks between the two countries over the weekend.

Separately, Iran’s Ministry of Defense claimed it has significant military reserves, according to remarks published by the Young Journalists Club, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Defense Ministry spokesperson Sardar Talaei-Nik said that the armed forces’ “strategic reserves,” including missiles and drones, are “sufficiently stocked and adequately prepared ahead of any conflict.”
