The Parliamentary Commission on Security and Defense has unanimously approved the government’s decision to deploy the Kosovo Security Force abroad, as part of an international stabilization force in Gaza.

The decision is now expected to proceed to the Assembly for further consideration.

Ganimete Musliu of the PDK said the move reflects the maturity of the state and the growing professionalism of the FSK, emphasizing that Kosovo soldiers are ready to take on international responsibilities.

She stated that support for the FSK must be full and without hesitation, highlighting professionalism, discipline, and dignity in international missions.

Shqipe Selimi of Vetëvendosje said the FSK is ready to serve alongside international allies, including the United States, in peacekeeping missions not only in Gaza but globally wherever needed.

She added that institutions have a responsibility to ensure proper legal frameworks, funding, and training for deployed troops.

Fadil Hadergjonaj of the LDK described the participation as a positive step for Kosovo and the FSK, calling for full logistical and equipment support for the personnel who would be deployed.

This would mark one of the first international peacekeeping-style deployments for Kosovo forces under such a framework.
