Kosovo Assembly Moves to Second Round of Voting for Two Constitutional Court Judges

The Assembly of Kosovo has conducted a secret ballot to select two members of the Constitutional Court, moving the process into a second round of voting after the initial results.

A total of 114 members of parliament participated in the first round of voting, with two ballots declared invalid. The candidate with the lowest number of votes, Benina Kusari, was eliminated from the race.

The chair of the session, Ardian Gola, confirmed that Kusari was removed from the contest, and the process will continue with five remaining candidates in the second round.

According to the results announced:

Benina Kusari received 3 votes
Emine Avdyli Pozhari received 58 votes
Flamur Mrasori received 47 votes
Jonida Xhafaj received 57 votes
Shpresa Emra received 14 votes
Zahir Qerkini received 43 votes

The voting process will continue in the next round to determine the final two judges for the Constitutional Court.
