The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has expressed concern over the postponement of the verdict in the trial against former KLA leaders at the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
The party stated that this delay is unjustified and reflects a prolonged process that has lost its meaning of justice, arguing that it has become influenced by political calculations.
“This latest postponement is another blow to our trust in justice and an added injustice toward the former KLA leaders, who have been in pre-trial detention for around five and a half years, turning this measure into a silent punishment imposed through repeated delays,” the statement said.
PDK called on the international community and judicial institutions to reflect and not allow the process to become “an example of the failure of international justice.”
The party also reiterated its belief in the innocence of the former KLA leaders and demanded a final decision without further delays, which would allow their return to Kosovo.
