Peter Sorensen, the European Union’s mediator for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, stated that both countries need normalization in order to move forward on their path toward the European Union.
Speaking after a meeting with Ferit Hoxha, Albania’s Foreign Minister, Sorensen said they discussed the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the European future of both countries.
“I spoke about the dialogue on normalization between Kosovo and Serbia. I underlined that there will be no bilateralization of the dialogue. It remains an EU-facilitated process between Kosovo and Serbia,” Sorensen wrote on X.
He added that both sides need normalization in order to advance on their respective EU integration paths.
