Following powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela, thousands of residents have been forced to sleep outdoors after their homes and neighborhoods were severely damaged or destroyed by the tremors.

The humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) reported that many citizens remain in public spaces with no possibility of returning to their homes. Field teams say a large number of families are now without shelter and are struggling with a lack of basic services.

Local authorities are working to open temporary shelters in schools and sports facilities in order to provide accommodation for those affected by the disaster.

Meanwhile, power outages and internet disruptions in several areas are making communication more difficult, increasing concerns among residents about missing relatives and the overall safety situation.

Emergency teams and humanitarian organizations continue to carry out relief operations.
