The Director General of Kosovo Customs, Agron Llugaliu, held an official meeting with his counterpart from North Macedonia, Boban Nikollovski, and Deputy Director Mustafa Dauti, focusing on customs reforms, information exchange and strengthening cooperation between the two administrations.
Llugaliu said cooperation with North Macedonia’s Customs Administration has already produced tangible results, particularly through the introduction and development of pre-arrival customs declarations. He stressed that exchanging expertise and practical experience has been essential to advancing these reforms.
He described the joint “One Stop Shop” border-control system at the Kosovo–North Macedonia crossings as another successful example of bilateral cooperation. The system, implemented at Hani i Elezit–Bllacë and Glloboçicë–Jazhincë, has received positive feedback from both institutions and citizens.
According to Llugaliu, Kosovo Customs intends to build on the progress achieved so far and expand cooperation with its North Macedonian counterpart through new initiatives aimed at making customs procedures more efficient.
Nikollovski, meanwhile, expressed satisfaction with the partnership between the two customs administrations, emphasizing that joint efforts and the sharing of experience have contributed to positive results on both sides.
The officials agreed on the importance of continuing close cooperation and developing new reforms to facilitate trade, improve border procedures and strengthen coordination between Kosovo and North Macedonia.
