Acting Kosovo Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla held an introductory meeting with Antero Lopes, the newly appointed head of the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX).
Sveçla welcomed Lopes to his new post and expressed appreciation for EULEX’s continued cooperation with Kosovo’s institutions.
A key point of the meeting was EULEX’s support during excavations at mass-grave sites in Zubin Potok, for which Sveçla thanked the mission for its assistance and involvement.
The two officials also discussed the importance of close coordination between Kosovo institutions, EULEX and other international partners in strengthening the rule of law.
Sveçla reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening institutional cooperation and advancing Kosovo’s efforts in the field of justice and the rule of law.
