The verdict in the trial of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders is expected to be delivered in The Hague on 16 September, with the hearing attracting significant public interest.
The Kosovo Specialist Chambers has confirmed that demand to attend the proceedings in person is exceptionally high. However, not everyone who has requested access to the courtroom will be able to attend.
A notice obtained by IndeksOnline states that one applicant was informed that their request to follow the hearing in person had been rejected.
According to the notice, priority for attendance will be given to close family members of the accused.
The hearing will also be broadcast with a 10-minute delay, according to the information provided by the court.
The decision comes as considerable attention remains focused on the long-running case and the forthcoming verdict involving the former KLA leadership.
