The Kosovo Specialist Chambers have announced that the Trial Panel will deliver its judgment in the case against former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi and former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi on September 16, 2026, at 10 a.m.

The public hearing will be broadcast with a 10-minute delay in Albanian, English and Serbian, according to the court.

The announcement comes as significant attention remains focused on the verdict in Kosovo and across the Western Balkans, with authorities and international organizations urging the public to remain calm and rely on official information.

Public access and live broadcast

The Specialist Chambers said that people who have been allocated seats in the public gallery, media center or information rooms have been notified by email about their attendance arrangements.

The proceedings will also be available through the court’s online video streaming service and YouTube channels.

The verdict concerns charges arising from the 1998–1999 Kosovo war. Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

The judgment is expected to be closely followed in Kosovo, Serbia and throughout the region because of its potential political and social implications.
