Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has travelled to New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Office of the Prime Minister’s Media Office confirmed.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Kurti will hold bilateral meetings with “world leaders” during the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly.
The meetings will focus on promoting and strengthening Kosovo’s key state interests and values on the international stage, according to the statement.
“The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today travelled to New York, United States of America, where he will hold bilateral meetings with world leaders as part of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly,” the statement said.
During his stay in the United States, Kurti is also expected to meet with members of the Albanian community, representatives of diaspora organizations and potential investors in Kosovo’s economy.
Kurti’s visit comes as Kosovo continues to pursue greater international recognition and closer engagement with international partners.
