Hysni Gucati has joined protesters gathered outside the Kosovo Assembly, who are calling for the approval of amendments to the law governing the Specialist Chambers.

Gucati said he had joined students and young people gathered outside the Assembly to await developments regarding the bill’s second reading.

He warned that the situation could escalate if the draft legislation fails to secure approval.

“Today we have come to join the students and young people. We have come to await the second reading of the draft law. If the second reading is not approved, the situation will not be good either for us or for them, by which I mean the parliamentarians and the government,” Gucati said.

The protest comes as the Assembly considers proposed amendments to the Law on Specialist Chambers, amid continued public pressure for the legislation to be adopted.
