Momčilo Trajković, president of the Serbian National Forum based in Gračanica, has urged Kosovo Serbs not to vote under any circumstances for the electoral list led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, “Serbia Is Winning.”

Speaking at a roundtable discussion in Belgrade titled “Why Kosovo Serbs Should Vote for the Student List ‘Students Are Winning,’” Trajković argued that supporting Vučić’s political movement would mean endorsing what he described as a record of past policies that had harmed Serbia’s national interests in Kosovo.

He described voting for Vučić’s administration as “suicidal” for Kosovo Serbs, accusing the Serbian leadership of having betrayed Serbia’s national interests in Kosovo.

“We must contribute to bringing this regime to an end as soon as possible, because the harm it has inflicted on Kosovo and Metohija, and on the Serbs living there, is immeasurable and will have far-reaching consequences,” Trajković said.

He also warned of possible attempts by representatives of the authorities to manipulate the electoral choices of Kosovo Serbs.

The roundtable was organized in Belgrade by several Kosovo Serb organizations: the Serbian National Council of Kosovo and Metohija, the Serbian National Forum from Gračanica, and the “Fatherland” People’s Movement from North Mitrovica.

Representatives of the student movement, political parties, non-governmental organizations and political analysts from Belgrade and Kosovo attended the discussion, which focused on the role of Kosovo Serb voters in the upcoming Serbian parliamentary elections.
