Kosovo’s public heating company, Termokos, has officially launched the 2026/2027 heating season on October 15, providing heating services to more than 25,000 consumers connected to Prishtina’s district heating network.
The company said all the necessary conditions for the start of the season had been met following an assessment of preparations by Chief Executive Officer Bersant Beka and the company’s management.
“Based on this assessment, and in accordance with the legislation in force and climatic conditions, the 2026/2027 heating season officially begins on October 15 for more than 25,000 consumers connected to the capital’s heating network,” Termokos said in a statement.
The company added that preparations for the new season had been completed in recent days, including the signing of an energy supply agreement with the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK).
In coordination with the Municipality of Prishtina and the company’s governing bodies, Termokos also assessed whether the necessary conditions were in place to begin supplying heat.
To ensure equipment safety and the stable operation of the system, heating will initially be supplied at limited capacity before being gradually increased until the service is fully stabilised for all consumers.
