Kosovo’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Glauk Konjufca, will lead the Appeals Working Group established to support the defense of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UÇK) leaders facing proceedings at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
The group will include representatives from several political parties represented in Kosovo’s Assembly.
Members include Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Vlora Çitaku of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Adnan Rrustemi of Vetëvendosje, and Bekë Berisha of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK).
The initiative comes as Kosovo awaits developments in the appeals process concerning the convictions of former KLA leaders, a case that continues to generate strong public debate over justice, the wartime struggle and Kosovo’s history.
