A total of 310 people have received medical assistance since protests began in Albania on October 13, according to figures reported by A2 CNN.
The injured include 191 police officers, 88 protesters and 31 bystanders, highlighting the growing toll of a week of demonstrations.
Following the latest protest, Albania’s Ministry of Health reported that four people sought medical assistance, including a police officer, a minor protester and an international media representative.
The media representative was discharged from hospital after receiving treatment and was reported to be out of life-threatening danger. Two bystanders remained at the University Trauma Hospital (SUT) for further examinations, while another injured bystander left after receiving treatment.
The figures raise renewed concerns about the safety of protesters, police officers, journalists and ordinary citizens as demonstrations continue.
