The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, stated that “it is important to know which portals are financed by Serbia.”
She mentioned that she had informed the prosecution about the news published yesterday by RTK from a Bosnian newspaper.
“As you saw yesterday, RTK Live published a research report related to Serbia’s tendency to buy media in the Balkans. In this case, two portals are mentioned: Periskopi and Nacionalja, which according to the research are financed by Serbia, by the Government of Serbia. I have provided this news, which was published by RTK Live, to the prosecution because it is important to know who is financed by Serbia,” Haxhiu told reporters.
Haxhiu said that the newspaper which published this article “is credible.”
“I am saying once again that it is not my responsibility to say who prepared the research. What is important is that the daily newspaper there is credible and the research was conducted by them. Therefore, it is up to the responsible institutions to further investigate this case. I felt obligated to offer what I have seen myself, not only in my capacity as the Minister of Justice but also as a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo,” Haxhiu stated.
