Kurti receives support from Magazinovic for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe

The chairman of the club of SDP deputies in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sasa Magazinovic, met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the facility of the Government of Kosovo.

The two discussed membership in the Council of Europe, and in this context Magazinovic reiterated his strong support for Kosovo’s membership in the large family of Council of Europe member states, stressing that all citizens of Kosovo deserve access to the European Court of human rights.

Speaking on the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Process, Kurti and Magazinovic assessed that this initiative is extremely useful for the region, through the creation of mechanisms for simplified cooperation and mobility of citizens.

He expressed hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon ratify the agreement on the movement of ID cards in the region, after all other countries in the region have done so. The ratification of the agreement on the recognition of diplomas and qualifications of higher education and professional qualifications for doctors of medicine, doctors of Dentistry and architects has been welcomed.

Kurti and Magazinovic agreed that the common future of the region lies in the European Union and stressed that there is considerable room for cooperation between the Western Balkan countries in the accession process, which includes the exchange of experiences and good practices, mutual support and a common commitment to the European future of the countries of the region.

” Regarding relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, Magazinovic and Kurti feel that it is necessary to work on strengthening relations for the benefit of the citizens of both countries, regardless of the current position for recognition, ” the Department for Public Relations announced.
