Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has made disturbing remarks about captured Ukrainian soldiers, threatening to use them as human shields against drones attacking Russia.

In a video posted on Telegram by Kadyrov himself, he is seen with Ukrainian prisoners of war, where he makes the chilling statement about utilizing them as protection from Ukrainian drone strikes.

Kadyrov suggested that the captured Ukrainian soldiers be placed in high-profile locations, such as rooftops, to act as “human shields” against drones, which he claims are photographed by “American satellites.” He further mentioned that these prisoners would be stationed to “protect Russian territory.”

Despite the ominous tone, Kadyrov attempted to present himself as merciful, claiming that the prisoners had been hidden away to prevent harm from potential attacks.

Among the captured soldiers shown in the video is 22-year-old Nazar Dorofieiev, who is listed as missing in Ukraine since February 12, 2024, near Avdiivka.

This shocking video and Kadyrov’s threats have sparked widespread outrage, drawing condemnation for the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war and for further escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict.
