Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the Russian attack on Christmas Day.
“Every massive Russian strike takes time to prepare. It is never a spontaneous decision. It is a conscious choice not only of the targets but also of the timing and date.”
“Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhuman than that? More than 70 rockets, including ballistic ones, and over 100 attack drones. The targets are our energy sector. They continue to fight for a disruption of electricity in Ukraine.”
“According to preliminary data, our defenders managed to shoot down more than 50 rockets and a significant portion of the drones. Unfortunately, there were hits. So far, there have been disruptions in several regions. Energy workers are working to restore the power supply as quickly as possible.”
